Site Manager

Overseeing the operations of sand mine.
Management of activities of production, maintenance, quality control and distribution at a small sand mine.
Responsibilities:
1.
Evaluates utilization of manpower, energy, capital, materials, machinery, methods and other resources for improvements to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
3.
Ensures plant equipment, buildings and grounds are maintained in excellent condition.
4.
Ensures excellent customer service.
5.
Meets production of raw material requirements and specifications.
6.
Communicates and coordinates shipping activities.
7.
Trains workers, as needed.
8.
Ensures proper levels of product inventory.
10.
Assists in the control of mine costs and the shipment of quality products.
11.
Oversees preventive maintenance and repairs of both stationary and mobile equipment as needed.
12.
Complies with all DOT, Coast Guard, MSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations.
13.
Assists in overseeing of production planning function.
14.
Participates in employee communications meetings.
15.
Notifies the regional/division management of anything pertinent regarding the business.
16.
Works all necessary schedules and overtime.
17.
Assists with the orientation of new employees.
18.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
1.
Prefer BS degree in an Engineering-related field or ten years' experience in sand mining including drilling, dredging, mobile equipment maintenance, plant maintenance and pit supervision.
2.
Previous mine supervisory positions.
3.
Ability to perform essential job functions.
4.
Ability to work all extended hours and shifts as needed.
5.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English.
6.
Basic computer knowledge.
7.
Knowledge of DOT aggregate specifications & MSHA regulations.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
