Summary:
This position performs and coordinates a variety of inventory-related functions.
Overall purpose of this position is to monitor, extract, and analyze inventory data to help with efficient inventory management and root cause analysis assuring the integrity of finished goods inventory is aligned to established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include monitoring all inventory issues and ensures effective resolution, system support of the 3PL Warehouse Operations through analysis of material flows, order management process assuring orders can flow through their normal order to cash cycle from BIAH to 3PL Distribution Centers and back to invoicing.
Individual will utilize SAP ERP system, interface tools & reporting, manually complete order cycle for consignment inventory, align orders with inventory (backorders), monitor damage materials and create transfers for destruction and performs related and incidental duties as needed or required.
Monitoring SAP Activities & Inventory Interface.
Acting as an SAP SME, works independently to resolve inventory and internal order management issues (IDOC errors)in real time to ensure that Customer Care and Distribution Operations objectives are met and customer orders are filled on-time daily.
3PL & Consignment Inventory - Reviews Open Order Report daily to insure all orders released to warehouse progressed appropriately.
Identifies any exceptions and manually progresses them to next stage.
Communicates with Customer care to notify Customer of possible exception or late orders.
- Manually reviews and post good invoice (PGI) any open orders including 3PL & Consignment orders.
- Work with colleagues on Consignment Inventory to include transfer generation, manual PGI, and inventory adjustments to assure system alignment.
- Assists in the creation and maintaining of various departmental databases, reports, and metrics.
Damages & Destruction Transfers - Analyze & report warehouse and transportation damages on agreed upon cadence and generate transfer back to Returns Center, if required, to be processed.
- Create destruction transfers, review for accuracy, and arrange with 3rd party & Distribution Centers for pick-up and timely destructions.
- Identifies trends in finished goods destruction and report to management findings.
Work autonomous but also within a team environment.
Strategic ability is required to address differences between internal business teams and external business partners that impact the Customer Experience.
Accumulates bits of information to diagnose and anticipate problems.
Interacts internal and outside the organization (3PL, Suppliers, Vendors, Carriers, Professional Organizations).
Assist or possible leads projects but also multi-tasks daily operations (agility).
Proactive in identifying trends & providing communication to management or key stakeholders.
High sense of urgency for any issues or resolution implementation.
Finance, both Group Controller and Commercial Finance Team.
- Customer Care team - key point of contact for resolving issues, creating & sharing thoughts & ideas, collaboration.
Customer Focused! - 3PL and other outside BIAH vendors.
Skills:
Highly regulated business through various regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA, EPA.
USDOT, EU, FAA) along with internal business guidelines and financial controls.
Adhere to 3PL and Vendor agreements, Inter-departmental & cross-functional teams, and external business partners and guidelines.
Understand US DOT 49CFR Hazardous Material Regulations as it relates to our products.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and interact with management on all levels, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Excellent knowledge base and prior hands-on experience with inventory control/management, and direct to customer strategies.
Very strong understanding and working knowledge of Distribution processes, inventory, warehousing and/or manufacturing processes and cost methodologies.
Demonstrate strong business acumen and end-to-end supply chain knowledge Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment.
Team player with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams - Computer proficiency required in Excel, Word and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
Impact to include US Commercial Business, BIAH customers, revenue to the company, budgets and KPI's.
Responsible for working with all Species and Commercial Business functional groups to include finance.
Responsible to assure job is performed timely and accurately where incorrect assessment could cost lost productivity, lost sales or revenue to the company.
Assist and help drive strategic development to best in class levels.
Assure finished goods inventory across 3PL, which accounts for over (USD)100M in value, is accurate and aligned enabling order placement, fulfillment, and delivery to our Customers can be performed daily.
- Assists in assuring a positive Customer Experience.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Distribution, or related field strongly preferred or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years.
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field strongly preferred.
Equivalent experience in supply chain, inventory management of at least 5 years is acceptable as well.

computer skills, Excel, Powerpoint, Oracle/SAP or similar ERP experience, SAP a plus.
