Systems Engineer II, Operation Engineering

This role will be responsible for collaborating with OEMs on developing, standardizing, implementing, and troubleshooting controls, electrical, and hardware solutions for robotics and material handling systems, act as a liaison for internal and external resources, and develop to meet scaling needs.
The Systems Development Engineer will be defining requirements and standards from individual work cells to large complex MHE integration across multiple vendors.
The position will balance controls and software integration between internal and external stakeholders, as well as provide commissioning support to the Operations Engineering Teams on achieving system performance prior to/during/and after launch of greenfield sites and/or retrofit sites.
Key job responsibilitiesThe following roles and responsibilities are required for a successful Systems Development Engineer:
- Prepare specifications and technical detail to fully define performance on equipment, material and services- Perform PLC and IPC control level issues and performance diagnosis- Define and measure system performance KPIs, leveraging industry standard PackML- Follow and enforce industrial network security requirements- Follow change management process and develop ad-hoc PLC ladder and/or structured text code change- Provide detailed analysis and testing of existing and new engineering solutions and components- Work with IT, FC Software, Vendors, and Operations Engineering to support new MHE systems deployments- Undertake industrial engineering design on existing and new material handling systems across World Wide network- Provide technical documentation such as flow diagrams, conveyor and equipment layouts, installation details, and integration specifications- Support commissioning of new automation elements / designs- Actively participate in local or World-Wide network level control projects and Initiatives- Provide value engineering/ value analysis- Ensures adherence to all Health & Safety procedures.
Be proactive in the raising of potential H&S issues and the development of personal safety awareness- Use AutoCAD to review, develop and maintain electrical schematic and conveyor layout drawings- Fully understand and ensure procedural adherence to industry operating standards such as the NEC and NFPA.
- Support emulation and simulation modeling of material handling systems.
- Document control system and equipment configuration changes and keep the documentation updated on the global project repository- Partner with all FC stakeholders in order to build effective relationships- Conduct Post go-audits to determine what good looks like with the stakeholders of the fulfillment centers.
- Ability to travel up to 75%We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
