The Regional Accounts Receivable Consultant serves to audit and train facilities for billing, cash collection, and compliance.
The Regional AR Consultant consults with Administrators and Business Office Mangers in the GA area on policies, practices and procedures regarding accounts receivables.
The Regional AR Consultant is involved in training and evaluating the business office staff.
The Regional AR Consultant must be able to research, analyze and report discrepancies, problems and recommend solutions to regional and corporate staff as necessary.
The Regional AR Consultant must be able to travel to assigned region frequently for visitsMajor
Responsibilities:
Oversees all billing, account receivable, and collection activities within the assigned region.
Evaluates and monitors business office operations in accordance with established standards of practice.
Identifies payer issues, and works out problem or escalates as needed.
Ensures integrity and confidentially of all patient financial data.
Audits and trains collection activity for patient carriers.
Reviews facility systems used for financial record keeping including the issuing of receipts, auditing bank deposits and payments in accordance with proper segregation of duties.
Produces reports for analysis purposes as needed.
Oversees the business office managers month-end close activities related to auditing charges, census and cash receipts.
Prepares monthly revenue reports for Regional Vice Presidents.
Adheres to all facility Standards of Practice as well as state and federal guidelines.
Ensures that billing practices are accurate and cash expectations are met.
Participates in the hiring process for replacement of Business Office Managers.
Coordinates orientation, training and guidance for new Business Office Managers.
Performs other duties as assignedPosition QualificationsEducation/Learning ExperienceRequired:
- Minimum Associates DegreeDesire, but Not Required:
- Degree in Healthcare, Accounting, or FinanceWork Experience4
Years Experience as a Business Office Manager in Long Term Care Skilled NursingAnalytical and problem solvingAbility to maneuver and obtain data from payer portal related to claims and patient accountsExperience with healthcare billing and collections systems applicationsStrong experience with payer portalsPreferred:
Bachelor's in healthcare or business-related field preferredThorough knowledge of state and federal regulations and billing regarding long term care.
Prefer experience in third-party billing and reimbursement including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insuranceExperience with Microsoft products to include Word, Excel, and Outlook preferredThe position will be 50% travel throughout the Region.
Ideally someone in the Atlanta market or within a commutable distance to Atlanta airport would be ideal as the position would travel to facilities in GA and TN.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
