The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative support functions for Keep Columbus Beautiful as assigned.
The incumbent serves as the first point of public contact for Keep Columbus Beautiful.
Produce or copy edit marketing collateral, including brochures and press releases.
Provides technical support to department personnel, liaisons between management and crews, the department, and outside agencies, and between citizens and divisional support personnel.
Establishes and maintains alphabetic and numeric filing system; manages a database.
Formats and type letters, memos, forms, reports, correspondence, charts, and other documents; enters and retrieves computerized data; prepares narrative and statistical reports.
Updates and maintains social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
Coordinates with volunteers, board members, and other stakeholders for events and projects.
Participates in committee reviews of activities.
Answers telephones and interacts with visitors; responds to requests and provides information; explains ordinances, rules, regulations, policies, and applicable laws to the public.
Maintains office supply inventory; orders supply, and maintenance materials as needed; coordinates delivery.
Monitors and updates the Keep Columbus Beautiful website with upcoming events and educational material pertaining to our mission.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of modern office administration.
Knowledge in graphic design and media relations.

Skill in Adobe Photoshop.

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, or crouching.
The employee occasionally lifts light objects and must distinguish between shades of color.

Mental Acuity - ability to make rational decisions through sound logic, deductive reasoning.
Pulling - use upper extremities to exert force, haul or tug.
Pushing - use upper extremities to press against objects with force, or thrust forward, downward, outward.
Reaching - extending hands or arms in any direction.
Repetitive Motion - substantial movements of wrists, hands, fingers.
Speaking - expressing ideas with spoken word, convey detailed, important instructions accurately, concisely.
Standing - for sustained periods of time.
Stooping - bending body downward, forward at waist, with full motion of lower extremities and back.

Visual Acuity 1 - prepare, analyze data, transcribing, computer terminal, extensive reading.
Visual Acuity 2 - color, depth perception, field of vision.
Visual Acuity 4 - operate motor vehicles/heavy equipment.
Walking - on foot to accomplish tasks, long distances, or site to site.
The work is typically performed in an office, library, or computer room.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
