Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Plans, directs and manages all production activities related to their areas manufacturing processes.
Ensures production schedules are met on:
time based upon schedule.
Works closely with Maintenance and Engineering to ensure equipment uptime.
Ensures accurate records (labor reporting and production).
Assist in the development cost saving measures through the improvement process (Kaizen).
Completes Hourly employee annual evaluations timely and equitably.
Supervise hourly employees:
positively reinforce desirable behaviors and address unacceptable behaviors.
Adhere to provisions of union contract.
Learn and apply Lean techniques on a daily basis:
Kaizen, Poka:
Yoke, 5S, Kan Ban, etc.
Ensure employees dispose of Hazardous waste and other wastes in compliance with established procedures.
Conduct daily housekeeping checks to ensure satellite areas are properly maintained and used.
Communicate hazardous waste issue to Environmental Specialist.
Successfully complete RCRA / DOT training, as required.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience in a hands on and progressive environment.
Minimum of 3
years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role.
Must be a results:
oriented, hands on, high achiever.
Experience using and implementing Lean manufacturing principles.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
